But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.
Philippians 3:7-9

We are leaving this Friday for Birmingham, AL to attend a adoption seminar. Not much else has happened around here we did get the den painted and the vinyl soffit changed out.

Life is some what back to order. I have made great progress with the kitchen remodel unfortunately I can not show you any pictures of the progress past the sheetrock due to the fact that I am trying to build curiosity in my mom so she will be forced to come down soon. The rest of my house has been a disaster due the to the migration of everything from the kitchen, our closets (because of the new electric service that was ran), and our den.
Below is a picture of the den with all the cabinets in it.

I needed to get the kitchen completed before we have our home studies done, so last Saturday I started on the remodel. I hung plastic over every opening and taped the edges of the plastic. I even sealed my self in the kitchen and was going to stay in there until all the cutting was done. The old ceramic tile on wire mesh was about three inches thick and the only way I could get it of the wall was to make a cut with a diamond blade between every stud. After I was done you could barely see in the room the dust was so thick. So I climbed out the window and came around to the back door and the dust was just as thick in the rest of the house!

It was a nice day so I took the opportunity to put in a couple more windows. I also had an old storm door that I put on the barn for the barn cats to look through. We are headed to the Stevens’s house to ring in the new year tonight. Hope you have a blessed New Year!!!!!!
